We celebrate that a client who initially sought emergency shelter services at Bethel Shelters in January 2020 was housed in March of 2024.  In 2023 he gained sobriety and began working closely with our case manager.  He immediately created four goals: 1.  maintain sobriety, 2.  purchase a car, 3.  move into housing, and 4.  work towards freeing himself from legal concerns.  While staying in the shelter the client saved money to purchase a car and then move into housing.  We celebrate that he met all his four goals, including purchasing a car in the second half of 2023 and moving into housing in early 2024.  The client desired to work with the Homeless Court of Rock Hill and this past week the client graduated from the Homeless Court of Rock Hill.  We celebrate this success story as we see a client overcome multiple barriers due to staff consistency and shelter availability.
